"Why am I thinking of You and me and the labour of love...

...And if you want to find me call me, Ill be far from the cars and guitars and everybody." ~ Frente

Do you ever feel like life passes by faster than you can absorb it to memory? Lately, I am getting that rushed feeling again and it's starting to stress me out. Not 24 hours out of my 3-week vacation and the frustration is gripping me and not letting go. That's not entirely true... the stress started about 4 days before I returned.

Here's a quick inventory of what the past few weeks have been like:

1,730 miles travelled
16 days
1 big lake
1 tiny lake cottage
5 members of a family in said cottage
5 animals in said cottage
125lbs = 1 dog
2-80lb Labrador mixes
1-10lb chihuahua
1 cat
2 pairs of aunt and uncle visits
1 getting rear-ended while driving my grandfather's minivan in Detroit
ZERO damage to said minivan!
842573456783456978345 times my grandfather lectured and waxed poetic on his opinions
1 6'5" boy
9075867982359325 butterflies in my tummy
2 kisses
0 moments of sluttiness
903457809347543 moments of guilt
1 kitty at large
1 mopey boy that lost said kitty
1 guilty girl, not sure which end is up
321 photos
63 email that had to be resent at work this morning
400+ email to sort through
5 loads of laundry to do
$180= cost to fix digital camera (NEVER take it to the beach!)

So, yeah. that's about where this girl sits: Playing catch-up at work. Attempting to upload photos. Waiting somewhat patiently for a sign on what to do... or a phone call.

But the stress. Why is it that no matter how relaxing the vacation, it is all that much more stressful to get ready for and wind down from it?

Wait patiently is about all you can do, my dear. I think those butterflies could be a sign, but I've learned not to trust mine.

I hope your kitty makes it back.

Jess: Yep. He's been forthcoming with the weekly email despite his crazy work travel schedule.

We'll see.
